Human evolution from the field

Henry Gilbert is an evolutionary biologist and has worked in the field looking for
hominids for over a decade. His graduate research has focused on many
fields related to the origin of our species: geology, anatomy,
evolutionary theory, paleolithic archaeology, and mammal systematics.
He has been an author on numerous major hominid papers, including a
recent revision of Homo erectus in Nature and this summer's
announcement of the discovery in Africa of the earliest known Homo
sapiens. He is currently finishing his dissertation on a million year
old Homo erectus site in East Africa.
